Specification

The LC-2430 is a high accuracy laser displacement meter.  It operates using the principle of laser triangulation.  With a sampling rate of 50kHz, the LC-2430 sensor is frequently used in applications where measurement of high speed moving parts is required.  The resolution in height measurement is as low as 20 nm and the measuring range is +/- 0.5 mm at an operating range of 30 mm from the sensor head.

Features/Benefits

  1. An advanced optical setup within the LC series sensors, makes them one of the worlds most accurate laser triangulation sensors.
  2. Even though the beam spot is only 12 µm in diameter, which allows for measuring of minute targets, the red beam is highly visible making it easy to position.
  3. Utilizing a high speed processing circuit, objects moving/rotating at high velocities can be accurately measured with the 50kHz sampling rate.
  4. With a superior operating distance of 30mm, the sensor can be used in situations where the sensor head cannot be mounted in close proximity to the target.
  5. The LC series can measure irregularities or groove depth on a surface, which cannot be measured with conventional displacement meters.
  6. The addition of an expansion board allows one controller to control two sensor heads.  In this configuration, the thickness of plate can be measured, with the sensor heads placed above and below the plate.
