Scanning Antaris
Specification

The sensors in a scanning Antaris are based on the innovative laser triangulation sensors of the Antaris series. These units are designed for high precision 2D profile measurement and have been built primary for use in rolling mills.

The measurement range and stand off are variable and can be optimized per customers requirements.

  • Diode laser with wavelength of 650 nm (Red)
  • Laser class 3B
Features/Benefits

  1. Position of scanning range, scanning angle and frequency are variable and all may be changed even when a measurement is running
  2. Can measure virtually any material, including hot or glowing surfaces
  3. Simultaneous measurement of width, side profile, thickness and weight per meter
  4. A safe positioning of units is possible due to the large stand off
Applications

Due to high precision data acquisition for distance and scan angle, many applications for measurement of contours, profiles or positions are feasible.

  1. Permanent contour measurement on slabs on a roller table, by using two opposing scanning Antaris units.
  2. Profile measurement on billets - a complete measurement of the cross-section profile is achievable, as is the determination of various angles
Options

  1. Measurement range and stand off can be optimized
  2. Adjustable mounting bracket
  3. Air purge housing, cooler, environmental conditioning technology
  4. Software for evaluation and visualisation
