Specification
In contrast to conventional laser sensors, the ANTARIS sensors combine a high resolution CCD line scan camera with a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to provide pure digital acquisition and processing of measured values. Sophisticated design using proprietary engineered materials ensures the highest stability without temperature drift and provides shock resistance for use in harsh industrial environments. the ANTARIS series gauges provide precise results on virtually all materials, as the integrated DSP adapts the measuring parameters to changing colors and surfaces in real- time. Due to their large measuring distance, the ANTARIS sensors are excellently suited for measuring in hostile conditions, e.g. on red- hot materials.
1. Highest resolution (down to 0.0001”/ 2.5 μm)
2. Measurement ranges up to 4000 mm / 15 ft
3. Measurement response up to 4 kHz
4. Constant precision on virtually all surfaces
5. Digital CCD vs. conventional PSD technology
6. RS485 multi-drop capability for up to 32 sensors
ANTARIS sensors are equipped with
1. RS485 serial interface.

Camber Side Profile
The LAP ANTARIS sensors operate according to the triangulation method. A laser beam emitted from the sensor creates a visible spot on the surface of the measured object. Depending on the distance, a CCD line scan camera besides the laser ”views” this spot under varying angles. Using this angle and the known distance of laser and camera, the Digital Signal Processor computes the distance between the sensor and the measured object.

Options
Air Purge Housing
This additional housing protects ANTARIS sensors
from dust, dirt and temperature influence. Airflow should be produced by a fan,
compressed air is not first choice.
Depending on ambient conditions, the airflow can
be heated to prevent fogging and icing or cooled to increase the lifespan of
the sensor, specially the laser diode.
